Verification does not guarantee that a diamond transaction will be free from all risks, disputes, fraud, market fluctuations or future changes in value.
NSD does not guarantee future resale value, future market price, investment returns, seller performance or future market demand.
The final decision to purchase, sell, hold or otherwise transact in a diamond remains solely with the client.
NSD may verify a diamond against a certificate or grading report supplied by the client or seller.
NSD does not issue or replace laboratory grading reports unless a separate service specifically provides for such activity.
Where a third-party laboratory report is involved, NSD is not responsible for the laboratory's independent grading standards, policies, decisions, database, report issuance or subsequent amendments.
Any discrepancy identified during NSD verification will be communicated to the client based on the information available at the time of verification.
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information required for the service.
NSD may refuse, postpone or cancel a service where information is materially incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or unavailable.
Where verification requires access to a seller's premises, diamond, documents or transaction information, the client is responsible for ensuring that the relevant seller or third party cooperates with the verification process.
NSD is not responsible for delays caused by seller unavailability, restricted access, incorrect location details, failure to provide the diamond or documents, courier delays or third-party disputes.
A booking request submitted through the website does not automatically constitute confirmation of an appointment.
A booking becomes confirmed only after NSD communicates confirmation through an appropriate communication channel.
NSD may request additional information before confirming a booking.
Clients are expected to provide correct contact details and remain available at the agreed time and location.
Clients should inform NSD as early as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Depending on the applicable service, subscription or booking terms, cancellation, rescheduling or no-show charges may apply.
NSD reserves the right to determine whether a service has been considered utilised where a representative has already travelled to or reached the agreed verification location.
Service fees, subscription fees and add-on charges will be communicated before or during booking.
Where NSD offers subscription plans, the applicable plan provides a defined service limit and/or transaction-value coverage as described on the website or booking documentation.
A subscription may be subject to either a maximum eligible diamond transaction value or a maximum number of services, whichever is reached first, according to the applicable plan.
Unused services do not automatically constitute cash value or transferable assets unless expressly agreed in writing.
One Service means one physical visit by an NSD representative to the seller's location for diamond verification, authentication or related support.
Additional activities, locations or requirements may be treated as separate services where applicable.
NSD does not guarantee that a transaction will be completed.
A transaction may be cancelled, renegotiated or postponed because of verification findings, price disagreements, seller or buyer decisions, documentation issues, market conditions, payment issues, logistics or other commercial reasons.
Where NSD provides market-value assessment or pricing guidance, such information is intended solely as an informational and decision-support service.
Market prices may change due to diamond characteristics, supply and demand, certification, location, shape, size, cut quality, fluorescence, commercial demand and other market factors.
NSD does not guarantee that a diamond will sell or purchase at any suggested or assessed value.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NSD shall not be responsible for indirect, consequential, incidental or commercial losses arising from a client's decision to proceed with, modify or cancel a diamond transaction.
NSD's responsibility is limited to the services expressly agreed and paid for by the client, subject to applicable law and the specific service terms.
NSD may interact with or rely upon third parties such as diamond laboratories, sellers, jewellers, couriers, logistics providers, payment providers and technology providers.
NSD is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, delays or decisions of such third parties.
NSD makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information on this website.
